In the WeatherLat project, the objective is to answer this question: "What's the weather like as we approach the equator?"
The Citypy Python library was used to randomly select 500+ cities across the world of varying distance from the equator. The OpenWeather API collected weather data for these cities.
Series of scatter were build using the Matplotlib or Pandas plotting libraries to showcase relationships.
The weather data collected on October 1st, 2019 comes from 556 cities and include factors we looked at:
The dataset includes also the coordinates (latitude and longitude), the country of the city and the date and time of the weather data collection.
The visualizations created are provided in the site, as well as explanations of trends observed.
You will also find a map showing the cities in the dataset.
